Please reserve your room and location for your function. For table and chair set up, you must fill out the proper paperwork for the Physical Plant and send a copy to the Overlook Cafeteria.
To place food and beverage orders, visit the Overlook Cafeteria office or call (712) 274-8733 Ext. 1299. Please call or email your orders in at least one week in advance. A payment/transfer sheet with the order, pricing and authorized signatures must be on the food service managers desk before the order can be processed.
Reservations for daytime catering functions must be made at least one (1) week in advance. Nights and weekend catering must be done (2) weeks in advance to insure proper staffing. For snack or beverage orders, 48 hours is sufficient.
We ask that a 48-hour guarantee be made, however. If the number in attendance exceeds the guaranteed number given, you will be charged for the actual number of people served. If fewer people attend, you will be billed for your original guaranteed number.
Cancellations must be made at least one full business day before your scheduled catering. Late notification will not be acknowledged.
For caterings scheduled after 5p.m. or on weekends, additional labor charges will be added. During the summer term, deliveries after 3p.m. are not available unless prearranged with the food service manager.
Our Policy is that no food or beverage may be brought to any food service catering or facility from any outside source.
All remaining food items are the property of the food service department. This is to ensure proper food handling and safe temperature exchange, so that food-borne illness is prevented. (Bagels, donuts, coffee, etc… are excluded.) For further definition, call the food service manager.
There will be an additional charge for caterings requiring special decorations, floral, and table settings. Please place orders in advance for these services. For further definitions, call the food service manager.
We prepare for the guaranteed amount only.
