Hazard Communication

Working Safely with ConcreteAt the foundation of good material handling (and preparation techniques) is the use and understanding of Hazardous Communication.

OSHA requires chemical manufacturers and importers to identify all physical and health hazards of any material they produce or bring into the country.

OSHA further requires that employers develop, implement, and maintain, at the workplace, a written hazardous communication program.

Your most immediate sources of information regarding hazardous materials are:

  1. Product Warning Labels
  2. Material Safety Data Sheets
